I have a 6.0 hp, 2300 psi power washer
Surface cleaners have different PSI ratings- @2300, I'd stick with the smaller 15". It's rated to 4500-

I have the "SurfaceMaxx" 15" on wheels. The biggest difference for me was the back! Cleaning with just a wand would kill my back in about an 1-1/2hrs. With the surface cleaner I can stand pretty much upright- just switch hands often- doesn't require a lot of physical force to move around.

I have a Ridgid model, worked well, takes a little time to get used to how fast you move it, if too fast it leaves lines. It also has a grease fitting that needs to be greased. I started to use a turbo nozzle for most of the time now.

I have a Simpson pressure washer from Costco - probably advertised "2800" or "3000 psi" with a 15" brush bottom surface cleaner - they work EXCELLENT together. I was using the white nozzle for years (40° pattern, I think) with a 2" wand on the end of the trigger handle. It worked well, but after changing to a 3' wand on the handle and the surface cleaner, it is SO much easier. The surface cleaner leaves a very uniform finish on the surface, which can be uneven with just a nozzle. I did get a Turbo Nozzle with the Surface Cleaner and used it once - it will tear some things up if not used correctly - be aware of that if you use one.

ten minutes ago I was looking at my small back patio and thought that I need to buy one of these. Come inside, and this is the first thread title I see. Must be an omen!

This is what I bought. Extensions is a MUST!

Just throttle down the pressure washer to reduce pressure for things like a pool cover, boat cover canopy, etc.
Thought I would add my update.

I bought the wheeled version of the unit in the link. I didn't think wheeled would be a big deal, for lots of concrete it is a total game changer. In addition the 15" unit will run with my power washer(3000psi/2.7gpm) but it does seem like the engine sounds like it is under more load than typical operations. It came with 2 extensions, they are very useful as well.
