not garage related but I am looking for a powered ladder lift. Most of the ones I have found can only take a load going up. I need to be able to go up with about 160 pounds but then bring 160 back down. Going up anywhere from 20 to 30 feet. I did find one online made by Fisker. youtube video of the lift.
checked all the links and just end up with dead ends. does anybody know of a manufacturer that can do a load both up and down?

thanks

I have no names or technical knowledge. But what about a stair lift like people use when they cannot go up steps. Or what about modifying a lift like they use to lift shingles on to the roofs of houses. Or a winch that powers in and out? Just some thoughts.

I have a very old shingle/ladder lift. It has a basic pulley system to lift the load, however gravity is the down speed. It has a manual brake that puts friction on the belt. Not safe to lower a load.

Their is one commercial manufacturer I believe German who's name escapes me. Offer several models with lifting capacity upwards a 1 ton if I recall properly. One model can go Vertical over 100'. You can turn the track horizontal too. The basket will dump remotely into a hopper at the base of the machine. The largest model I describe is truck mounted others are trailer mounted. It's not really a conventional laddervator. I do believe the cheapest model started at 30k when I was looking at them 5 years ago.

I can do some searching and see if I can locate the documentation I had on them.
