What would be a good price for a Power Kraft lathe??? Model #84TLC-2136.... comes with two chucks (3 and 4 jaw) steady rest and several tool holders....
also is this a Logan lathe???? ... Seems to be in good condition.... Has 10 inch swing w/30inch center....

Powr Kraft was made by Logan, and sold at Montgomery Ward, from what I learned in a quick google search. It's a 10X36 metal lathe. Around here (South Carolina), small lathes bring strong money, probably $1500 or more if it's in decent shape.

A good price would be in the $1000 range but $2000 may not be to excessive depending on condition and accessories included. I've owned two of these these lathes over the years and while you can do good work on them they are a lightweight lathe and will not do real heavy work. One thing to consider is that you can usually sell it on down the line for what you paid for it. Get it, learn how it works and if it suits you then keep it and if not then you know what to look for in your next lathe.

After searching out what I assume is the lathe your looking at the $1100 asking price is within reason. The factory legs are also a $add.

Much more desirable if it has a quick change gear box.

Powr-Kraft were rebadged Logan lathes, and are very popular smallish lathes. In my area a change gear version tends to run $500-1500, those with a quick change gear box tend to go $1500+.

Location, condition and included tooling are huge variables in value. I'm in an area with moderate machinery prices.

It's a Logan, made by Logan for Wards to sell. It's a decent lathe. Akin to a southbend of that size and era.

QCGB is nice, but you don't need it. You can set up an variable speed reversable D/C motor belt driven lead screw for turning, and just have to use the gears if you need to thread. Let me know lf you get it and want to set up the D/C motor leadscrew.
