Hi,
I have a Powermate/Coleman spray gun my family bought for me. I don't paint for a living , just want to do my own car. It says that it's good for latex, lacquer etc., but not recommended for auto finishing. So, what's the difference between this gun and the cheap Harbor Freight guns that you can use for auto painting? Thanks for any info.

The finishes that gun is designed for are much more viscous than auto paints. Compare the specs for your fluid nozzle / tip setup to the recommendations on some of the Auto paint manf. data sheets.

I have owned cheap spray guns when I first started and its much more difficult to achieve good results with a poor quality gun. My $.02.
