I just got a powermatic 1150A step pulley model for $100 buck and going to start restoring it. Any users here have any experience with that model or do we have any machinist here that can give me some advise as some parts look to need replacing or some machine work.

Thanks in advance, I will post pictures soon.

You need to head over to OWWM.org and join the forum there. You will find all the help you could want on your rebuild.

One note on Powermatic parts. Powermatic has a website that supports thier new lines of equipment and you can search for parts by model number. Older equipment is not listed, but if you have the powermatic part number from the users manual of your 1150A you can type that into the search box and may get lucky. I needed an upper wheel shaft for my PM143 BS and they had it for $17. They don't oppenly support the older stuff, but they did have the part.

What's that? You don't have the user manual for your drill press? You need to head over to Vintagemachine.org, the sister site to OWWM.org. The site has pictures, manuals, history... for just about any machine and manufacturer you might need.
