I know the Powr-Kraft brand has some loyal followers. I myself am just now starting to become interested in there 1/2” ratchets and sockets. So naturally it follows that I would be interested in who was making their ratchets and sockets and how to spot the different manufacturers if there are any.
My first question for Powr-Kraft experts is:
I have 3 similar 84w4860 ratchets with fat rubberized grips all very close in appearance, but 2 have a prefix 66 before power-kraft and then 84w4860 and the 3rd has 96 prefix followed by power-kraft 84w4860.
Why the prefix? (Others don’t have it.) What is the difference besides the obvious?

For those of you who do math... I get it. 30.
Thanks in advance

Alton,
I really haven’t done much research in regards to the part numbers. A generalization would be that many of the ratchets and sockets were supplied by Wright and Thorsen. I think most of the rubber handled drive tools are Wright.
