Pre-Fab vs On site build

Hello, new member here and welcome any insights on pro and cons of prefab vs onsite garage.

Planning a new 2 car garage and debating the benefits of pre-fab vs custom on site. My needs are
- basic architecture design.
- need to accommodate lift so planning on min height of 12' (my cars are not tall)

Check with your building/permit department. For me, pre-fab buildings had more requirements and more $$$$ commitment up front.

I built taller than i needed due to square footage restrictions. Mezzanine for extra space.
