Framer messed up and made some closet rough openings too small. I removed jack studs (non load bearing wall) and reinforced with brackets but there isn't enough room inside the closet for the two-piece trim (the part that slides into the jam).
My question is do I rip the casing to fit on table saw or remove/replace trim with a ripped 1by? Disassemble the trim to rip?
First closet needs 1/2" off one side and about an inch off the other.
These are the Jen-weld hollow interior pre-hung 6 panel doors with 2-1/2 colonial casing.
