Precision Instruments 1/2" Dr. "Split Beam" Torque Wrench w/Flex head (40-250 Ft./Lbs

Does anyone know much about these?
I just order this to replace my craftsman 1/2 torque wrench.
Still waiting on it to come. Just curious on how they are. Thanks

these are great wrenches. if it's worth anything, PI makes the snap on wrenches of this type. and sell it for much more. i like these because you don't have to zero them after you're done.

Love everything about them except the square handle design on the 1/2" models. The round handles are far more comfortable.

I have the Snap On model of that wrench and love it. Use it several times a day to torque lug nuts. Easy to set the desired torque and when finished there is no need to reset the wrench to zero. I actually find the squarish grip a little more comfortable than the round. Must be a case of personal preference......:bounce:

Thanks guys.. That's what I thought since it looks exactly like the snap on.
My buddy who is a tech at lexus was using it. And he also told me the same thing.
I just wanted a lil more info that's all.

I have one and it's the nicest torque wrench I've had the pleasure of using short of a digital snap on unit. I love not having to reset it to 0 every time I use it.

The thumbwheel adjustment sure beats the hell out of twisting a handle.

I wish I bought one of those last year before the prices went up.

I have the 3/8 and 1/2 and absolutely love them and our shop has the 1/2 that gets used and abused and still keeps on ticking.

I have the same one and love it. Use it twice a week, no resetting to zero.
