I still check around, but right now my preferred vendor list is;

Amazon, sometimes you just can't beat them on parts or tools.

RockAuto, always a 5% code around, shipping can be pesky, but they frequently win the bottom line pricing.

AdvancedAutoparts, the coupons etc are whacky, nothing local to me so shipped only, free $75+, but frequently they are bottom line cheapest.

MROcenter, signal items usually ship free, many great prices, Williams ratcheting screwdriver $28.08 shipped. OOS right now.

Cripe Distributing, verify shipping costs, bottom line best price many times.

I use some other places, but none are consistently the best deal like those above.

RockAuto has screwed up more than half of my orders. I rarely ever order from them anymore, especially if I need something and don't have the time to return/exchange it (once, or twice, or three times on one of my orders....)

I received a free year trial of Amazon Prime a few years back.

I got hooked. I've paid the $70 charge for the last few years.

Almost anything I want I can have sitting on my doorstep in 2 days.

Hard to beat for a hobbyist.

Just kidding. But seriously tooltopia.com is great.
I have used these guys before http://www.pts-tools.com/cgi/CGP2HOME
I have a business account with them. I have one of their showrooms really close to me and have bought a LOT of Channellock and vice grips from them. They still have some NOS USA still in stock. Place is great to just walk around in. They have a ton of Williams and wright in stock. Once I am done buying USA craftsman this place is now my go to tool store besides my snap on guy

Epsteins is my favorite but obviously doesn't sell everthing
Stockwise auto parts is excellent and has exceptional pricing on Gearwrench as well
Seven Corners Hardware is a major contender on power tools and local to me

Enco for my drill bits (metal), flap wheels, always find something for the shop in their "hot deals" monthly catalog (www.use-enco.com)
TP Tools for my blast cabinet and supplies, used to live somewhat close to them and went to their "dock sales" it was worth it,, in-store prices are better than catalog and often have close outs on compressors, etc.
Grizzly Industrial Tools, have their metal band saw 7 x 12
Tyler Tool, now same as CPO, have lots of refurbished tools, never had a problem - but probably won't buy an "open box" again, took to long to get the missing bits.
Amazon, ha, found a Genie Lift SLA -5 for $500 on there two months ago "just like new" and it was
Craigs List, of course!
