This is my first Post after being on here a month or so - so I thought I would add something constructive.

I have one of those tools - there are several makes around - all similar and all probably made offshore.

I used it to insert the rivets into sheet metal , think car fender. I tried it on thicker material and the rivets that came with it didnt work. The "shoulder" on the rivets that compresses, are fairly small but do work on a car fender. I havent found any rivets with thicker "shoulders".

One suggestion is to get the tool with the longest arms you can find as compressing the rivets takes some leverage.
