I picked up an old belt driven prentice brothers lathe. It’s a 14 X 36 and it came with a 3 jaw, 4 jaw, faceplate, and a steady rest. Now I’m trying to find out more about it. I’ve done some google-fu, and the best I can do is it must be a 1908-1912 machine. The change speed gearing that this machine is equipped with was patented in 1908, and prentice brothers was bought out in 1912. Can anyone help narrow it down any further, or just share some more information about the company?
