If that is as big as I think it is, I'm not up on there model numbers at all and the bent handle is the worst thing on the vise, why is not bolted to your bench yet?

It's a 5" and about 100 lbs, or so, but those jaws... One jaw cap is missing, and the other is thrashed and may not be recoverable. On the missing one the dynamic jaw face is munged. On the plus side, its a swivel base and swivel jaw...

I'd consider $125 a lot for a project...

Gonna take some machining, eh?

As a fallback, might want to consider what'd bring if parted out....
or is it worth more as a real beater - like the
'Vintage Bench Vice Anvil Antique 1900s Farm Barn Tools Clamp Made in USA 38 Lb' on ebay?

The more I study it, the damage maybe mostly contain to the jaw inserts. If I rememeber correctly, Prentiss has pretty substancal inserts. I would look at it in person and if the actually jaws are not as bad as they look, I would take it home for $50. If you have a buddy who does some machining, you maybe able to get that fellow back up and running. The overall vise needs to be looked over very carefully. At first I fixated on the bent handle so much I completely missed the jaws. Both of those show a hard life so one would want to make sure the rest of the castings are ok.
