I just picked up this vise, I have never seen a vise quite like it and cannot find any information on it, does anyone have one similar? Or know around when it was made?

Garrett:welcome to Garage Journal and i hope you stick around to learn and teach us what you know. nice vise and i would think early 1900's or in that range and it looks pretty big too.

can you post a few more pictures and get us the weight of it and the width across the top of the jaws too? where are you located and are you interested in selling it? I usually don't like the open screws, but that one is a little different.

it looks like a 6 inch wide jaw and maybe 100 or more pounds, but my old eyes are not what they used to be so need your take on that.

It has 7.25" wide jaws and opens to over 17". I got it because I have never seen an exposed screw vise this large. I haven't put it on The scale yet but I would say it is easily 100lbs.
