Going to HD tonight to pickup some epoxy PREP products to get the floor ready..

Am I understanding this right?

1. Check for moisture with taped bag test - PASSED
2. Fill holes, cracks with concrete patch
3. Sweep, then pressure wash floor.
4. Acid etch or use diamond grinder
5. Start epoxy process.

What am I missing? Do I have to angle-grind down where I patch? Or will a diamond grinder do that when I do the entire floor? I don't own a angle grinder, so not sure what to do with this.

you probably want a good degreaser/cleaner prior to step 4. That's what I did. Then, another pressure washing. If you use acid, don't forget even more pressure washing... and then you have to wait quite a while to let it dry. I waited several days in the desert (9% humidity); depending on the humidity where you live you might need to wait 1 to 2 weeks to get it very dry. Then, of course, you get out the broom one more time before applying the 1st coat.

Sounds good. Thanks. ;)

The "dry time" is not cast in stone. If you are using a water based epoxy then you actually want some dampness. Even some non-water based epoxies don't require total absence of moisture. I am pretty sure with my Wolverine floor, that Eric said I didn't have to be completely dry, but no matter who you are using, check their instructions first.

04 Navi is right about Wolverine's BondTite 1101.

A positive feature of the BondTite 1101 is that it is NOT moisture sensitive. Many of the products that don't use a primer are cheap waterborne materials. You'll notice that even though they are waterborne they MUST be applied to a DRY surface. Unlike those other products BondTite 1101 may be applied to a damp surface... not wet... but damp is OK.
