Prep Spectrum for Basement Bar Floor

I'm setting up a sports bar in my basement.

The area is already finished, and carpeted with the previous owner's nasty carpet. I'm considering taking all the carpet and tack strips out and just going with a concrete floor with some coating to prevent absorption of drink spills and/or pet accidents.

I have a lot of things that will have to be moved out of the way to get this floor down (including a pool table), and all of the rooms are already drywalled/finished.

I don't want a solid gray epoxy floor. I'd be looking at something like a clear coat right over the concrete (doesn't need to be epoxy - in fact I might rather it not be), or a stain plus clear. I'd like to end up with a textured gray if possible (the lighter the better). I saw that the "Atomic Garage" floors ended up with a brown tint with just a clear on them - is that common?

I have put Epoxy Coat down in one area, and a similar product (Epoxy Master? I think I got it from Costco Online) in another. Both required significant prep that made for most of the work (acid followed by pressure washing out the residue). I think that will cause significant trouble/damage in this space - wet walls, water under walls, require a team of people in wet suits manning shop vacs to catch my runoff, etc.

Is there anything that can be recommended in this application that doesn't require that level of prep? I presume diamond grinding is an option, but that has it's own associated problems... tons of dust in my living space (and it would likely mean paying someone to do that as I don't think I'm up for it).

If I don't want to park a car on it (I don't) is there a clear I can just roll on an unprepped floor (that will stick) or is that a pipe dream/unobtainium?

The only flooring I can think of that doesn't need hardly any prep work other than sweeping and maybe running a shop vac over the floor is something like RaceDeck. Any type epoxy or other similar type product requires quite a bit of prep work.
