Sorry....pics not loading for some reason. il work on that!!

Planning on rolling on some epoxy coat this weekend but have a few questions first. Is a standard 2 car garage with some significant oil stains, other fluids, paint, adhesive, general scrapes, gouges, and pitting. This is the next to last step in a pretty lengthy process. All i will have left is to build some cabinets. In the before pictures you can see its pretty nasty. Now its even worse as i have skim coated the ceiling, wall, and put up FRP panels (adhesive).

Steps for preparation (have already done first 3)

Dish soap scrub
Degreaser scrub
Hand scrape and wire brush on high speed drill spot polish
Concrete patch
5 gallon break cleaner scrub
Degreaser applied and scrubbed with diamond grind
Pressure wash

From here i intend on following manufacturers directions for prep and application. i think it needs this much work before the stuff even gets here just to get it to a respectable level.

First question. I plan on using some legacy HD110 or equivalent for filling concrete imperfections, whoever can get it to me fastest. my question is, is this what i need given the pictures below and can this be epoxy coated over with no problem? the holes and scrapes are not that deep but i want this thing to look perfect when done.

Second question. Is my order of operation correct given the shape of my floors? I dont mind overkill and would prefer adding or rearranging steps than deleting them. i want this stuff to stick.

one other question. when i asked the epoxy coat if/what to use a primer they said its not necessary. said to apply a thin coat and then a thicker coat 18hrs later. while i respect that advice it goes against my logic. what if any primer do you guys use?

Pics still not working:mad:

Apply the HD110 post grinding and then grind flush with your hand grinder.
It is compatible with all the standard epoxy coatings, ours, Epoxy-Coat, etc...

Otherwise, I like your plan. :)

I couldn't get any HD110 by Wednesday or Thursday so I just bought some rustoleum epoxy shield patch and got it down today since its gonna be so cold for the next few days. In fact it's gonna be too cold in Houston to put down the epoxy until possibly Saturday. Hopefully saturday so i can get the cars back in sooner than later. Il do some bulk grinding on the patch tomorrow and rent the big polisher probably Thursday. Should have plenty of time to get lots of degreasing done between now and Sat/Sun. I'm REALLY counting on the break cleaner to do some real work. I ordered a 5 gallon bucket Bowessealfast for $60 but pep boys has gallon size for $30

Don't forget that you will need time for the concrete to dry out from all the scrubbing and pressure washing. You may need a couple of days or more for that. Though the surface may look dry the next day, moisture can rise up through the slab with the warmer days and cause the epoxy to bubble if the slab is not completely dry.
