Hello all, preparing to finally start work on restoring/building out my 20x40 metal garage and needed some advice.

I'll attach pictures below but what I am trying to figure out is the best way to build in a wall structure that I can use to attach the sheathing. For the walls I will most likely be going with OSB/G1S that will get painted (except in welding area that will get covered in thin metal.

As you can see the span is pretty large, about 20 ft horizontal and 6 feet vertical (there is another horizontal beam at the top of the corrugated metal you see in pictures) with that C type channel beam being used through out the building.

Thanks for any tips.

The walls are about 12 tall before the angled ceiling.

20 feet of the garage has this storage area with stairs at the back.

This is a shot of the beams they used.

Your third photo leads me to think of this possible method...

1. Place a 2"x6" vertically in each "C" channel of each metal vertical beam/post (perform this step wherever you have a vertical "C" channel metal post)
2. (Optional) drill through 2x6, both metal posts, 2x6 and secure with bolts/washers/nuts...do this near bottom, middle, and near top
3. Run 2x6 boards horizontally and fasten (your choice of method) between your vertically oriented wood (placed in step 1)
4.Suggested vertical spacing of the horizontal 2x6 wooden members would be from concrete floor and go up every 2' on center
5. Wires could be run behind the horizontal wooden members
5. Sheath walls with desired material
