But seriously, I didn't know that stunt planes were so small. Makes sense -- HP to weight ratio and all.
Small wings roll faster...
The plane on the right - moderately aerobatic. The bi-plane, hard to tell, but probably about the same. Not sure that either have inverted oil systems - so to me, stunts are limited..
Both are "garage built" by guys like you and me. Only you don't build them right, the risk is a lot higher.
Sorry, not envious. That's no a garage, it's just some rich guy's showroom.
People DO things in garages- like fix, modify or create. That guy only has just enough tools to change the oil and plugs in the planes.
That's the kind of guy that pays other people to come over and do the work on his stuff. That space is more akin to a storage closet than a garage.![]()
To me, it looks like a C3 corvette and two planes hand assembled planes (home-built) - neither of which costs more than a well equipped Camry. The biplane may cost a lot less than a well-equipped Camry.
Planes are "special case" in terms of being able to work on them - even "experimental" (home built) varieties like this. I can be the best darn mechanic in the world, but the FAA won't let me work on a 1962 Cessna 150....
