I have watched several videos on how to prepare the concrete before putting epoxy. I am not sure what sequence though

It involved acid etching, grinding, the surface with a tool (rent from Home depot), degreasing and washing. I am little confused between etching and grinding, which one goes first

You do one or the other, but not both. Grinding is the preferred method if applying a quality coating, but proper acid etching will get the job done in most cases. If using a inexpensive residential quality coating kit from a home improvement center, then using the supplied etching solution is generally the best method. Because those type of coatings are typically very thin, a more aggressive profile leads to cosmetic issues when only one color coat is applied.

The order is clean and degrease if needed, concrete repairs if needed, profiling (etching or grinding), then application.
