So I have a 38x58 shed. Half divided and was finished by previous owners. I have since tore down the divider wall and planning on pouring more concrete. As of now there is 38widex27deep left to pour. I plan on pouring 38x18 this year leaving the last 9ft for next year when I plan on adding a bathroom.
On the finished side it was poured flat and no floor drain. I am planning on adding a floor drain but,

A) trying to decide where to put it. I originally thought 4.5ft from old concrete. ( concrete was cut at 9ft so plan on cutting at that again. ) After thinking about that that wouldn't leave much slop. So now thought of centering it at the 9ft for my pour.

B) I plan on this being a "french drain" ? So from floor drain I planned on running outside and dumping into a 55gal drum holding tank with holes.. which leads me to my next question, how deep below grade should barrel be and any issues with pvc underground and being drove over with mower. I know I need to fill below and around barrel but ahould I add rock ontop also to help with support of the pvs and the 99 into the barrel.

Hopefully the couple questions make sense
