prepping new concrete for epoxy

I'm going to be using an epoxy coating system on the floor in my new garage.

As the floor hasn't been poured yet, can I request a specific finish for the floor to avoid having to grind the new floor?

Smooth finish.
You will have to grind or etch anyway.

we just painted a new concrete floor at work that had a slick finish. We used 1 part muriatic acid to 4 parts water, use a pump sprayer, let the reaction die, doesn't take long, then mop several times with clean water and allow to dry overnight. We used Sherwin Williams paint, HS1000, and the finish is awesome.
