No pics, but I once made a parts support "hammock" for a guys years ago for his press. It consisted of a 4 inch wide piece of rubber cut from a tractor inner tube slung like a hammock between the uprights of the press. The ends of the rubber were rolled around a shackle type device on each end and riveted in place using some sheet metal as clamp plates. When in use, some press pins were inserted through the shackles to suspend the device below the press supports up close to the bottom of them. As the guy pressed the shaft through the bearing, the rubber hammock provided constant support as the shaft emerged from the bearing.

I saved this off the net a number of years ago. Always thought that these racks were a good idea that could be modified to ones own needs.
