Pressure bleeder cap for Chrysler products?

I have a 98 Dakota and I'm building a presser brake bleeder. My truck seams to be on the transition point where they changed the cap design from 2 to 1 cap or someone installed a later model 1 cap.

The only luck I've had is finding the early 2 cap design that won't fit my master cylinder 1 cap setup. Dorman only sells the early model ones anyone have a home made setup for a later Chrysler product?

Is there a low cost brake bleeder adapter cap that will work? I see power probe sells some for a good price if they will fit. Will one of these work? They don't list Dakota's on any of there listings.

Any ideas on making an adapter or what universal adapter to get? The attached image is very close to my master cylinder if not exact.

You can make your own adapter cap, as shown on this web page (sorry if you already know this):

That cap is common on some other Chrysler products (Jeep Wrangler) and it even looks similar to my Caravan cap. I would search other parts stores that stock caps from mfg. other than Dorman. I found one for my Caravan, but don't remember the brand. Something like that might even be reasonable from the dealer. Also consider junk yards.

Ebay has a Texas seller with lots of Dakota master cylinders. Maybe he will sell you just a cap.....but shipping $ might kill the deal.

Good luck.

I've got a '98 Dodge B van (full size cargo van) and the M/C cap looks just like that. That should be a Bosch M/C. Why not try a dealer and see how much a new cap and gasket is - it might not be very costly. If it is, try a junkyard. That's what I'd do.
