OK, got my 3000 PSI Karcher Pressure washer today. I tried it out and power watched some of my vinyl siding, 2 vehicles and right inside one of my garage doors. It works awesome, I want to pressure wash the rest of my garage floor, but want to try not to get my drywall to wet. Any suggestions????

Thanks

Unless your drywall is the green board stuff made for wet areas, you don't want to get it 'any' wet. Seal it off well with plastic and tape before unleashing the pressure washer.

Be careful with that thing! For example, some will say pressure washing vinyl siding is bad b/c of all the water that gets forced behind the plastic.

For the walls, buy a roll of the 8 mil poly at Home Depot or wherever, and cover your walls with it.

Yeah for sure not a good idea to pressure wash the siding!

The Tyvex will stop most of the water but your just asking for it IMO.

I started to power wash my shop once and it fogged up in there and the dirty water from the floor splashed onto everything on the walls and all my tools got rusty. Now I just sweep.

I did it today, it really wasn't bad. The walls are painted and some water splashed on them, but it was hot outside so it dried immediately. Took me a few hours to do it, but man does it ever look a thousand times better... I picked up a Refurb Pressure washer, but man does it ever have good pressure and starts easily.

I heard you shouldn't pressure wash concrete as it takes the top sheen off - then becomes pourous.
