pressure washer attachement,driveway cleaner

looking at the cheap ones from Northern,water broom,circular rotating ones etc.
would like to keep it around $100 or less,will most likely see yearly use.
pressure washer is a 2HP electric Hotsy 2500 PSI and a a gas 6HP 3K 3.6 GPM portable.

I realize the bigger the unit the better the ability to run a bigger attachment.
Not looking to buy a bigger pressure washer tho

I tried a couple of the surface cleaner types and a turbo nozzle. The turbo nozzle works a lot better.

I have the dewalt version and it's much better than the old home depot brand one I use to own. The Dewalt is metal. The cheaper ones are plastic

What are you trying to clean off the driveway?
I have always just used the pressure washer itself and it works good

I have cleaned the fence, house, driveway, garage floor, sidewalks.....etc

I install one of the “fan” type nozzles and just sweep it back and forth in an even speed and pattern and you can see the difference between the dirty and clean areas

Ha..I guess we're all riding together looking for an answer. I need a good solution for mine too. The turbo nozzle does work, but it can be a bit harsh. My wife says its devouring the concrete instead of scouring... but hey there isn't anymore mildew!

I have had it for a while. The neighbors saw me using it and they asked to try it. So it does last a while. The attachment arms seem lite weight but it works great.

I saw a tutorial on u tube that said if the pressure washer puts out less than 4 gpm not to use a surface cleaner,to use a wand.
So in direct converse to that Im going to say that staying under 14 inch diameter I think its gonna be OK.That rigid one looks nice but may be just a little too big for the pressure washers I have.

read some comments and they all said the handle is junk,I can fix that.
Of note is the comment that its made in Germany,which surprises me.

I used a Briggs and Stratton 14 -in Rotating Surface Cleaner from lowes and it works great at home drive way, side walks...
Then I did our work place drive ways. big long drive ways, side walks and patio...used it for about 6hrs straight with excellent results with the Mi-T-M residential pressure . think its like 2700 or something but GPM was high...

I imagine the other cleaners which cost more would probably be better but for low cost the briggs stratton surface cleaner worked great.

tried turbo nozzle, its only good for spot cleaning hard.... while surface cleaner is just faster more coverage uniform cleaning process..

I got about 5 hrs on the Rigid and I’ll have to say it works great. Really smooth and easy to use. Seams well built.
Way easier then swinging the wand back and forth a million times. Trying to keep it at a level distance and making stripes.

I have a Craftsmen rotary cleaner, paired with my 2800 psi it cleans well. Plus I bought a wand extension at Lowe’s so I don’t have to bend down as much.. I am 6’1” so that made a difference. Like someone said, it’s a lot easier than swinging that wand ...let the thing pretty much float back n forth.

Yes, the turbo nozzle is very harsh. I cleaned my patio with it, and was covered in sand as it etched off the surface. It came out nice though.

Nowadays, Wet & Forget is a much easier and better option for removing mildew.

It is not that great. Junk I don't think so. I have had this 3 years and it is fine. If you want to use it all of the time for a business I would get the bigger model of this. You can always FIX IT but Mine is the way it came.

For $80.00 it is great.

so the question is,without wheels does this rely on just the uplift from water pressure? Kinda floating like a hover craft or a flymo mower?

I picked up something similar to this from sears a few years ago on a deep discount (like 25$ free shipping) and have been using it since. Works great, just have to be gentle with it because it's plastic. It was recalled because the sprayer tips would come loose but I just took mine out and lock-tited them back in and haven't had a problem.

I have a Karcher branded 15” one. It’s small but does the job. It’s mostly plastic except where it matters. I have 15-ish hours into it. Makes doing the driveway manageable in a morning. I use it with a SunJoe SPX3000. The plastic nut that holds the plastic cover to the metal rotating bits gets loose from time to time. I’d recommend an extension if your wand isn’t long enough, saves the back.

To a earlier poster, the cheap ones have a narrow brush on the rim the holds them off the pavement.

Paid something like $45 on amazon warehouse deals.

Son got me one for Fathers Day and put it to work immediately,even in the rain.
First hit it with the foam cannon loaded with Purple Power for pressure washers.
I didnt see any difference in that or the spot I poured straight bleach on.
Save the money on any chemicals it works fine without.
All of this is shown doing one pass with a light rain.
Next day the entire driveway,front porch,sidewalks were done as we got rained out Sunday. This unit was a $50 Walmart special,cheap but actually worked rather well.
since it floats and has a brush all around vs wheels,it doesnt splash or spray,unless you pick it up. At only 14 inches its rather small,but worked great with no zebra patterns.
Im sure there are bigger ones that work great too,but would be hard to beat for the price.
