I need to reconfigure my un-loader valve off of my Cat Pump on a Pressure-Pro 4000 psi unit so that I can use a hose reel. Can I use normal brass fittings from the Home Depot or do I need "special' HP fittings? Also, I need to use a 4" to 6" ****** and I was again wondering if I need a special ****** and, do they actually make one that is rated 4000 PSI?

Thanks,

Scot

The brass fittings at Lowes are typically not rated at working pressures high enough for pressure washers. You can check the fitting ratings by going to the manufacturer's website. Use the hydraulic fittings as another poster suggested.

I got a rapid reel or the clone the HF makes, for garden hoses. I was curious if it would stand up to my pressure washer. Plumbed it up and its been that way for a dozen years.

I was sure the PW would blow it apart. Doesn't seem to care.

I bought fittings that were rated above the 4000psi that my unit produces. They were available locally and they worked great. Thanks everyone for your assistance.
