Pressure washer help

Ok you guys have helped me in the past so I'm sure you can again

I have a honda powered 9hp PW with a anaovi xmv3g30 pump 3000psi

Engine runs and starts right up but as soon as I pull the trigger on the wand the engines stalls like it can't handle the load. I have cleaned the carb out and replaced the unloader valve and it does the same thing don't pull the trigger and the engine runs fine.

Any one got any ideas

Fuel filter in bottom of the tank. Screw in fitting there.

I've had something gunked up in the pump once before. Basically I just had to pull & release the trigger real quick before killing the engine, doing that several times finally worked whatever loose and it functioned normally afterwards...

Fuel flows very well just drained the tank to rebuild the carb

My PW has a Honda GX390, did the same thing to me a couple years ago (Idled fine, full throttle fine, pull the trigger and it sputtered and died).

I tried all the above, did NOT fix the problem. Checked the spark plug, looked FINE. Kept banging my head on the same NON-fixes, finally just CHANGED THE SPARK PLUG ANYWAY - It's ran fine ever since...

I'm still not sure why, but a new plug might fix yours too... Steve

might be the pump. I had a similar issue and it was a clogged pump due to the hard water we have. 100 bucks for a pump sent to my door from northern tool.

Gap could have widened? I've seen that happen on some small engines. They idle okay, but under any load the spark isn't hot enough to ignite the additional fuel I guess.

That's what I was thinking, the calcium buildup when the water evaporates in parts of the pump. I always give my pressure washer a few good pulls after unhooking everything and with the switch off to get residual water out of the pump. Then when I'm not going to use it for a long time I will use the pump saver / RV antifreeze to cycle through it as that will flush out all water and help lubricate the orings inside.

Nozzle have rust in orfice?

All stumbling and issues in my garbage picked Husky were in the tip of the wand. One of my tips just doesn't "work" properly, but the others work fine. Make sure they're CLEAN.

I have 25+ Honda 390’s at one time or another. The spark plug phenomenon is related to the resistor spark plug wire cap. Also, the aforementioned resistor can go bad, but it’s very rare.

Most pressure washer water pumps specify a particular hose diameter.
Mine says 5/8” garden hose.
Might not have anything to do with your motor issues but my wand spray chugged before putting the correct hose to it.

It starts spraying water fine till it shuts off, I have used it with this hose many times before with no issues.

On another note tried to remove the spark plug an it appears to be seized so that is going to be another issue
