I have a Snapper model 020397 pressure washer. It's been a great purchase but now that it needs a new hose I can't get the danged thing off the pump! It is threaded, but I can't budge it. I even tried cutting the plastic off to get to the hex fitting and I still can't budge it. Do they glue these things on? I simply cannot get this thing off.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me. Trying to get it fixed before my knee replacement next week.
Edit, the part I can't get loose is the coupler
Thanks much
Bill

Have you activated the wand trigger to release residual pressure in the hose? The hose on my gas powered washer is almost impossible to remove from the pum until I depredations the wand trigger, then it’s almost effortless.

Had the same situation with the pressure washer at work. Had to replace the extension off the pump. Then I couldn't get the hose off the wand. All in I replaced the pump extension, hose, and wand.

IDK what type of hose your machine has, but when you replace the hose, be aware that units with M22 hose fittings have two different internal sizes- 14mm & 15mm. I just went through that on the freebie cheepo pressure washer I have. When you put the new hose on, Parker lube or silicone paste are you friends and never leave the hose on the machine or gun when not in use.
