I have a horizontal pump that is leaking oil where motor shaft connects. There is a seal that goes around shaft and pump housing, it has popped out so oil just pours out. I have looked at a similar pump and there is a locking ring that holds this seal in place. Mine is missing or whatever holds that seal inflate. Usually there would be a small slot or grove in the pump housing just infront of that seal but on mine there is none. I've taped that seal back in place, put pump back in service but 30 minutes later it's popped out again.
Is it just tension the locking ring has to hold it in place.
Thanks Rick
