I just replaced the one on my Husqvarna. Man that was easy. I thought it would be a big job, but basically 4 bolts is all.
I totally ruined mine by leaving cleaning solution in the mixing tank over the winter. The little quarter turn shut off valve leaked through totally filling the pump with cleaning solution. (siding cleaner). I couldn't smell any bleach smell in the solution, but it was definitely caustic. It turned the aluminum pump fittings to powder. It was so full of white powder that I couldn't even get water to flow through it and when I tried to take fittings apart to clean it all out, the torque of my wrench broke the housing.
Learned that lesson. Dump the mixing tank before you put the pressure washer up. Sure you might waste $10 of chemicals, but even so, better than what those chemicals can do to a pump given a few months.
