I'm not sure what type of machine or the HP of it that you plan to attach it to. I have an 11HP power washer and use my wand with a tip, and throttle the engine accordingly. I've cleaned concrete for customers that way for a few decades now. It goes quickly and comes out very nice.

I've been through two of these. Each worked awesome for maybe two or three jobs, then they failed for some reason or another.

I never could diagnose properly. Seal failure, clogged up, something like that. They stop spinning and its game over.

As a professional I have tried just about everything, including one of these. Mine suffered a similar fate. I end up going back to what works best for me. Obviously opinions vary.

I've got one of those concrete washers. Really what mine is is a heavy-duty lawn sprinkler turned upside down. Works great.

Thanks for your reply ,

It would be used to clean up oil and grease ,

but also rubber from "testing" the motor on the off road car :)

Other than this, I would use a turbo nozzle. It's not as fast, but it has less moving parts to fail. It all depends upon how often you need to use it.

Look at these units Whirl Away. Have had mine for over 25 yrs now. Clean Fast Food parking drive in lanes and their sidewalks. Used with 4.5 GPM 11 HP Honda/General Pump. Hooked up to 150 of hose.
Be sure nozzles are matched to your machine pressure and GPM.

I have one made by Simpson.

It works great.

I do pull the rotating assembly every couple of uses, then clean the spindle and grease it.

The tips will get bumped and it will stop turning. If one is at a different angle than the other, it won’t turn. Just be attentive of those things and it will work for a long while. Avoid cracks where the surface is uneven, and stuff like that. It bumps your rotating tips out of sync.

Same for me. I tried it and the cheap one just doesn't last.

My rental store has one that works great. I think I'm the only one who rents it. $20 for four hours and that's enough to do all my walks.

I've got the one you show originally and LOVE IT. You do need to lube the interior wand every once and a while but it is an absolute must for anyone cleaning off concrete, etc.

I have a Honda engine pressure washer, and I use this Briggs & Stratton disc cleaner, it works great, it's quick, and I haven't had any problems. Sixteen inches o.c. tips. You can see it's heavier construction than the OP's item.

I’m curious about this as well. I’m sure mine is due.

I just used whatever spray I had laying around. WD40 works quite well since it's actually supposed to "Water Displace"! Once it gets going, it works itself out just fine. Otherwise, if you could jam some plumbing grease (Oatey makes some; easy to find), that might give you some lasting lubrication.

I got something similar from Amazon: Briggs & Stratton 6328 14-Inch Surface Cleaner for Gas Pressure Washers Up to 3200 PSI

Really like using it for driveways and sidewalks. Just keep the inline filter screen clean and lube it once in a while and you should be good to go.

I use the Karcher surface cleaner. Used for 2 years and still going strong. It has a bearing that the nozzles spin on which I thought was pretty good. They may all have bearings but I like this one...

Edit: Check out the surface cleaners at Northern Tool, they are a bit pricy but they look well made.

Got a surface cleaner a couple of years ago, the only issue I have with it, is that I didn't get one sooner... :)

It's to prevent streaks and lines. A wand and tip leave these. My circle cleaner works great! It's so easy to use; almost floats across pavement or a deck. One problem: sensitive to clogging, mine got a little sand and it was a pain to clean. I then installed a big filter-ahead of the p. washer, and now zero problems. I definitely recommend.
