Straight or bent?
Primary use is cleaning thing other than vehicles.
Mine are straight but I see many bent ones for sale so I didn't know the motivation.

As for bend or straight wand, it would depend on the power of the washer. Consider a bent wand will push the wand away in the opposite direction of the bend. It might be tiresome on a 3,000 PSI, 4 GPM pressure washer. A straight wand pushes pretty much straight back into your hand. On a little homeowner 1115 volt unit it probably doesn't matter.

I have a 2,000 PSI, 4 GPM washer and use a straight wand. I can move around to a different place if I want to hit the item washed at a angle.

Try stay on topic!:ROFLMAO:
Seriously....

Not the greatest example, but keeps the tip perpendicular to the surface, especially if working on something overhead.

There's also a 180' for gutter or other hidden spot cleaning.

My arm bends in other directions than straight out. My arm with the pressure washer handle can go almost straight up and guide the wand with the other hand.

I can see some use for a bent wand, but like I mentioned in the other post, with a high powered washer they can be tiresome.

I have both, and it all depends. My 4,000psi/4gpm is nearly impossible to handle even with a straight wand. After using it for several hours, my knees hurt since its trying to spin me around in circles, it torques my knees. Bent wand is perfect for my 1,000psi/2.5gpm pressure washer that I use on my vehicles.

What are you trying to clean that a 4gpm is giving you such a hard time controlling?

It's not the 4 gpm so much as the 4000 psi that'd be the problem - I've had my honda powered 3500 psi 4gpm for over 35 years, it came with a straight 4' wand - I'd just bought a Case 580 backhoe and the PO was too stupid to rinse the 1 yd bucket after placing concrete with it so one of the first jobs was to max out the washer with a zero degree tip at full pressure -

Part of that job had me buying parts and fabbing a 1' wand and a 7' wand - all of those are straight wands. The zero degree tip actually worked to break up the concrete, altho even with full rain gear on I still got drenched.

Later on I added a telescoping wand that goes from about 8' to 20' long (gutters/roof type stuff) - that one has about a 20 degree angle about 3" from the end, it gets a bit wild when you pull the trigger, even at around 1500psi, but with the bend downward and a steady stream it does help with keeping the long wand fairly level.

Bottom line anwer is "depends on what you wanna use it for" ... Steve

Weird. I have a similar one, Landa brand, and no issues like that.

Did find out the turbo nozzles aren't made for that. Blew 2 apart on the same day.

Depends on what is being cleaned. If I'm washing the house or a building, I don't use a wand at all. Just a tip in the spray gun. So that leaves a straight wand for flat work.
Wow. I can envision how wet you get washing a building with just a spray tip on the gun.
I use a 4 foot wand and still need rain gear.

Not quite sure how that affects anything at the end of the wand.
Its an adjustable angle coupling. Goes from straight to angle. One of the best things I ever bought for washing. Not only does it angle down, but if you turn it around, you can point it up, perfect for getting the inside lips of fenders where dirt builds up etc. You can swing it from straight 0* to maybe 35-40* angle

Most times, unless its a tractor or something else thats extra dirty, I just run the trigger, the angle coupling and the nozzle of choice, no wand at all.

I don't get wet using a big enough machine. I softwash and not just pressure wash it. Here's a quick demo.

I use a very stiff "flexible" professional car wash sprayer wand, attached to a high quality gun. Used to have an account with a local carwash supply company that I could get all the pro quality stuff for cheap. I have a straight wand that is pretty long that I use for cleaning the driveway with one of those deathtrap rotating cleaners.

What's a "death trap rotating cleaner"? 🤣
