Have a gas pressure washer about 10 yrs old. Hardly used but, to start it you have to squeeze the trigger to release pressure, it sprays good and when you let off the trigger it stalls the engine. Can't pull the start cord unless you squeeze the trigger again. Any ideas? Is it easy to fix or? It is a generac build 2300 psi. Thanks, Paul

^yup sounds like it. Either service the unloader to clean the deposits (i.e. hard water) and replace seals or get another one.

depends on the pump. check to see if it can be unscrewed from manifold? brand and model # will help.

Sometimes if you release the handle but squeeze again before it dies, doing this over & over will eventually work the unloader free. I've had to do that with a pressure washer that was sitting a while and I didn't want to tear apart.

hi, it looks like it screws out. another problem i've seen is a clogged tip, especially if you use the same one. it will shut your machine down?

You very much have an unloader that is not functioning as it should. Now, not sure about the gentrac, but on a cman (or at least my cman) there is also a popoff that is supposed to open in case of unloader failure. You might want to take a look and see if yours should do the same and fix that as well if it exists.
