I felt this was worth a post. I needed to block sand my entire '54 Ford Customline. Standard blocks are fine for flat panels but most '50s cars have lots of compound curves. What to use? PVC pipe came to mind but it's too rigid. While contemplating, I heard the grandkids in the pool. I glanced over to them and noticed they were playing with a pool noodle. Lightbulb moment! Why not? I grabbed it out of their eager little hands and cut off about a 10" length (we have several). I use self-stick long board paper that comes in rolls. Just cut a piece to fit. 36g on one side, 80g on the other to shape filler. Pool noodles sell at the dollar store for.........one dollar! It's just the right circumference and provides just the right amount of firm support yet it's flexible to bend around curves. Too simple!!

Added it to my arsenal. I used 180g to block the Slicksand.

Sanded my SlickSand today and it worked great on the '54! Tomorrow I shoot epoxy primer.......
