Pretty good flexi O2 sensor wrench?

Hi All,

I've got sockets and other tools, but find myself needing a flex-handled O2 sensor wrench to get at some downstream O2 sensors hiding in the "trans tunnel" of an AWD vehicle.

Anything to look for and/or look *out* for?

Thanks!

Good luck.

Any O2 sensor socket/wrench that has a split down one side is going to be fine for installing the sensor. May or may not work for sensor removal.

If it doesn't work, you risk destroying the wrenching surface of the sensor through slippage.

So, sure, try the O2 sensor socket/wrench...but if it's not working, cut the sensor wires and use a tool that isn't split down the side.

A Wright 1/2" drive deepwell impact socket is my tool of last resort for O2 sensors. That, and a 6-point 7/8 combo wrench with the handle heated and bent. The Wright socket is broached all the way down, so there's room to fit the sensor body inside. MOST impact sockets are only broached for ~3/4 inch.

When the link doesn't work, remove the hateful and disasterous end-part, and re-try. Get rid of the "?tag=atomicindus08-20"
