I couldn't sleep last night so I started browsing Craigslist for some deals. I have been wanting a larger tool box as my current one is packed full and was a freebie. I have also been looking for a new bandsaw. I found both last night and think I did pretty good. First score was a Vidmar 8 drawer eye level cabinet got it for $400. Second score of the day was a 14" Delta Milwaukee bandsaw from 1950, paid $100 for it and it is in excellent shape. Now I need to clean up the cabinet a bit and get some new tires and blades for the saw and I am good to go.

Yep, you ****

Fantastic deal on that bandsaw:eek: Looks really nice for the age (repainted?). Just make sure to check all bearings before putting it to use.

As for tires I like the Suplhur Grove tires. They sell them on ebay for ~$30 a set. Great for the 14" detla wood version like you have.

I pretty much hate you for the Delta, I have been looking for quite a while now and would have easily paid twice...

Thanks, I am not sure if repainted or not, I haven't really had time to go over it really well. Appreciate the tip on the tires, I will check them out.

I was just about to order the Grizzly anniversary bandsaw when I found this one. This one will last another 63 years hopefully.

Wow, nice score on that saw.. we have a 1939 model of that same saw. Does that one have the metal cutting gearbox on the drive belt side?
