Price difference, Sears vs. Sears Hardware

I stopped at Sears Hardware today to replace a broken charger for a drill. I found it for $13.29. Not too bad but, I remembered seeing for $9.99 at the local Sears. So I went to Sears and sure enough, $9.99.
I didn't compare everything in the store but, I know there were other items with a few dollar difference(extension cords for example).


Any one else notice this? I apologize if this has been discussed before. I searched and didn't seen anything.

Oh, yes, I've definitely noticed this! Even little things sometimes are $.50 or $1 more. You can order online and pickup locally to get the better price (online usually matches regular Sears prices). I've also answered a survey (the ones on the receipt to win gift certificates) and received a call from the store manager. She seemed surprised and urged me to let them know next time. Oh, I will.

Yes, my local sears hardware is more expensive then the full line stores, not by much as stated, but I noticed the prices seem funky and double checked and found the same.

I've actually seen the oppsite where the Sears Hardware was cheaper than the regular Sears, so it must depend on the particular stores.
