I am going to be selling some tools. I am really unsure on the price. Is there a section on these forums I can post it and ask people's opinion on price? Figured I should ask before I type it all up and get the post deleted.
More than likely, however you do it, it may present a problem. Guys may think it's a classified ad and try to reply as such.
If you post it in the classified section and open to offers, you get bombarded with low ball hacks.
However, if it were to get deleted, mods will still have access to the thread. I or any other Mod could PM your original post to use as the basis for the proper classified ad.
The few times I have listed stuff in the classifieds with a specific price or OBO, I have not been bombarded with lowball offers. Maybe I’m just lucky.
I’d say the most important thing is to take a lot of high quality pictures and to tell the truth about condition. Don’t hide flaws.
