primitive looking lineman's pliers

Hello,
So I got these pliers in an old tool chest recently. After cleaning them up I thought they were kind of interesting looking. They seem well made but look pretty primitive to me. No makers marks.

That type of joint is uncommon. it may be a clue to the maker.

Agreed, that "forked" style of jaw pivot is new to me in linesman pliers.
