I bought a couple of the magnetic towel dispensers today. If you use the ends separately with the knob pointing up they make a great place to hang a welding helmit, ear muffs and or faceshield.

Princess Auto Deals? Really! I recently spent some time on the site.I have come to the conclusion that this store sells rebranded tools from other manufacturers. What ones? Well without going into a lot of detail, Florida pneumatic,Astro, Goodwrench,Chicago Pneumatic,Gearwrench,Air cat, just to name a few.Does this "Princess Auto" actually manufacture any of there own tools? I would think that it could be cheaper to order tool from an online source, however taxes, import fees, may make this option more costly than going to the auto part store.JMO,Ken

PA is like your HF. They are a retailer and not a manufacturer. HF and PA doesn't actually manufacture anything, they get their stuff from other sources.

This makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clearing this up.And yes I do shop at HF from time to time.

I mentioned this to an Astro representative a while back.China copies the product and sells them to PA, amongst others.

Doesn't surprise me. China copies and counterfeits everything. Id say 90% of what we get is made in china. BUT, china can make good quality stuff if the importers/manufactures have certain specs and quality controls. But people don't want to pay for it. Most consumers want the cheapest they can buy.

What is height of the 3/8 ratchet and height of the sockets, from what I can see on the box the total height with ratchet and socket is 1-5/16 (4.9cm) which doesn't add up.

1-5/16 = 33.33mm

I have them they are ok they are breaker bar long they handle are softer metal so they do flex quite a bit at least the 3/8 does. The selector switch is a bit loose but overall not a bad ratchet

Probably nothing! I've had the 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" for about a year with no complaints so far. I bought all three on sale as well.

Anyone else get the Business VIP event invitation for 20% off on this Tuesday ?
I was given one by the store manager and told there were 100 invites for each store.
Guess I'm a reg at PA.

No, I don't think it's friends and family. It's a voucher that the store manager gave me and says Business VIP event, 20% off all in store purchases . An exclusive invitation for Princess Auto's Business customers .
The friends and family events a buddy that works there gets me those, this seemed to be passed out by the Manager only .
It's valid all day

I saw those adjustable bar clamps from 6" to 36" on sale, they seem decent for the money

Yeah I got one too. She came right out from behind the till and came straight to me, and handed it to me.

I have one of those in ⅜ drive. The only thing I don't like about it is it's too long. Not enough room for it between caliper bolts and inner fenders.

Can’t wait for the new one in North Calgary to open. 10 min from my house!

That can be so dangerous! In Toronto the Scarborough store is less than 5min from the house! At least when I'm back up north, I really have to want something before a 45min drive each way to Owen Sound.:D

You know the one thing I found funny? I went looking for conplete pro-point socket sets......which apparently don't exist. I enjoyed buying things that I never normally see on sale though.

More north. East on Country Hills Blvd from Deerfoot Trail. :bounce:

I not sure what’s gonna happen to the other north store as they were still stocking shelves as of last night.

I would imagine close it. It's a pain in the *** to get to and zero chance of someone driving by and stopping in because they need to pick something up and seeing it reminds them. Terrible location for a retail store.

I drove by the north Calgary store and there was a giant banner across the top saying "WE ARE MOVING!" So I guess that settles that.

This will mean an extra 10 minutes each way for me to get my fix. My son was actually crying about it. We call it the Jack store and his name is Jack. I call it that because they sell a lot of Jacks. He considers them brothers ;)

I stayed at the Sandman Signature for a couple of nights a few years back. That Princess Auto seemed well located to me. :lol_hitti
