I bought the same Mayhew Tools set at Princess Auto. The package is the same but the plastic tray is black. The label is different and the COO is not stated. There is only one US Patent No. and it's 6471186. The handles appear to be the same. The bars are stamped "USA DD". I haven't used them yet but they appear to be pretty decent.Well curiosity got the best of me after hearing so many people rave about these so I asked the wife to pick up a set while she was in the city shopping. She got the last set in the store. When I got home from work I opened them and looked for the word "Taiwan" on the bars and packaging and the closest I came was "assembled in the USA with US and global components". Maybe I got some old stock? From what I can see, the bar is made in the us (stamped "USA SFF") and the handle looks like it's made elsewhere. The plastic inlay and the rubber used in the handle reminds me of those cheap soft grip made in china screwdrivers you can find anywhere that sells Chinese tools. Haven't tested them out yet but I'm Curious to find something to pry on to compare them to the snappy pry bars of the same length. Not sure what I'm looking for but on initial look and feel, they're nice for the price but they don't have that certain "heft" to them that the snap on's do. Anyways, here's a couple pics....
