Private Message Problems

I cant figure out the private message settings.

I have sent six out and received ten in.

The TEN I received are there and I can see them but the SIX I sent out are no where to be found.

It shows SIX being sent and says something about folder but I cant find anything in any folder.

HELP!

Is there a setting for SENT messages or folder that these SENT messages are going into automatically?

There is a setting, Lemme see if i can find where it is.

User CP, Edit options on Left side then all the way at the bottom of that section.

Go to your PM screen. I do it by clicking on "Your Notifications" on the upper RH side of the screen just under the "Welcome, Charles (in GA)". You will see a multicolored bar graph at the top showing how many messages you have stored, and how many left to store before reaching the max of 500. Directly under the multi-colored bar is a drop down box that will automatically say "inbox" but if you click on the drop down, you can select "sent items", then click "GO" and it will click to the messages you have sent that are still stored.

Click on the area above where it says "Private Messages" Above the "rate Thread" and berlow the "Quick Links" where your name is. Upper R.H. corner of this page. When you click on it, the next page will show a red, yellow, and green bar. Underneath that bar it will say "Inbox". Click on the arrow beside that and it will say "Sent Items". Click on that, then "GO"

I've tried to reply to three PM,s and all looks well as they try to send but they do not show up in my "sent" folder.
I suspect they are not going out.

Now that I think about it.. the one original PM I sent is not in my sent folder either....

I did find this page http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions and clicked to save a copy of a sent messages as Default (it was not the default choice)

What more might I missing or doing wrong?
Do I know if those messages actually went out?

Go to USER CP.

On the left hand side of the screen under Settings & Options click EDIT OPTIONS.

Under the second heading, Messaging & Notification, find Private Messaging.

Make sure the last check box under this heading, which reads

Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default,

is checked.

Now go to the bottom of the page and click SAVE OPTIONS.


Now if messages are not being saved in here, I would contact an admin or mod and ask them if they know whats going on.
