Hi, Recently I have been running into hand tools that are marked Pro America made in the USA. Can anyone tell me more about this brand of tool ;When were they made?
They seem like they are nice tools built to last for a long time,I am wondering what stores used to sell them?

In my experience, they are a mix of USA and Taiwan.

I bought a swivel spark plug socket from them once. The socket was actually made by Blackhawk in the USA, and the swivel was made in Taiwan.

Can't say how it held up, since I haven't had to change plugs for years now...

I'm not sure if any retail stores carry them. I understand them to be mostly government contract tools. I have a fairly nice USA made Pro America wrench set that reminds me of Blackhawk/Stanley satin finish wrenches. Like Krusty said, they are part of KAL tools.

Are you around a decent sized military base? Proamerica supplied larged metric and SAE wrench sets along with some pliers for fairly large contracts from the mid 1980s to the late 90s. The satin finished wrenches remind me of older Blackhawk or Husky. Decent tools that get the job done.
