Does anyone have one of these? I do a lot of work in the driveway (gravel) and regularly lift front ends that weigh 5,000lb. They say the bigger model will do 3 tons but I am skeptical.

They seem to be targeting the ultra4/trophy truck/jeep market, which is why I doubt the actual capability. A fully loaded trophy truck is sub 6,000, around 1,500/corner. I want something that will (easily) handle 4-5000 at once.

I've used them a lot and I don't find them to be anything special; they are just a big wheel import. They are slow as **** to lift, but they lift a trophy truck. I think our team has 3 of them. They really are geared towards a tall off road vehicle (35"-40" tires). Now that we have air jacks, these get sent out to the remote pits. I'd save your money and get the biggest HF aluminum jack and put bigger wheels on it. I will still reach for one of those in the dirt before a Pro Eagle.

Any suggestions on heavy duty big wheels w/rubber tires to put on a HF jack? I'd love to put them on my Daytona, don't mind if it raises the jack a half inch or so.

Unfortunately, I don't. For the last 10yrs we've just run Harbor Freight jacks as they come and drag them through the dirt. On the race cars we will have an aluminum floor jack that has the wheels removed and an aluminum skid attached. We went with the pro Eagle's when we made the move from buggies to trucks as we have to stab the jack deeper to get under the differential from behind the truck. With the buggies we have jack points on the trailing arms so we can get in there much easier, or we can just lift off the rear skid if we want the whole rear of the car off the ground.

The thing to remember is the big wheel jacks only roll one direction as they don't have casters on them, so they can be a pain in the ***. Don't get me wrong, a lot of guys like them, I just don't feel they are anything special for the price.

Awesome, thank you for the input. I found some 6" wheels on Mcmaster that are well suited for the surfaces and capacity I'd put a regular jack through.

Cool, post up some pics and send me a notification if you end up getting it done.
