Problems getting furnace to ignite....sometimes need a dozen tries and now cannot get it to fire up.
Furnace was installed proffessionally 1 1/2 yrs ago. Did not start consistantly right from the beginning. Gets a good flame from the igniter....shuts down after 3 tries and I have to reset. The furnace has only run approx 15 hrs total since purchasing brand new.
Is there an adjustment I can try to make to correct ignition?

I have tried resetting at least 6 times but to no avail........

....expierienced input would be much 'preciated.....Thanx....Mike.

You need to call the mfg. I had the same problem with mine. They sent out a new design control board, solved the misfiring problems completely. Heater was out of warranty too, they send the board no charge. Great customer service. Takes about 20 minutes to remove the side cover, replace board and re-install cover. Just make sure you power the unit off.

Mike another thing you might look at after 1&1/2 years of use is the flame sensor . They sit in the flame and tend to get a carbon coating on them and will then not properly sense the flame . This could be your problem and simply cleaning the flame sensor could solve it . I figure out of every 10 service calls I run in the winter 8 of them are either a bad ignitor or a dirty flame sensor.

I had problems with my furnace also, though it's the larger unit. They sent me an upgraded board, too. Later, when the LP tank ran empty, one of the sensors died. I was running a 100# tank at the time just to use up the LP; I've got a 120 gallon tank now...but still make sure it doesn't run out.

Thanx gentlemen 4 the input.....my indicater light flashes twice....saying the system failed to detect or sustain flame. Could this B a faulty circuit board as I see a lot of consumers have been sent updated ones with seemingly similair problems 2 mine?

Again I remind you that I have had problems starting right from the installation. It never has fired up on the first or second try.

Thanx......Mike

Glad to hear it!! I remember waiting about a year before calling to get my board sent out because it was summer time here, and then it would only act up once in a while. I finally got frustrated trying to reset it and made the call. I had the board in a few days and installed it in 20 minutes or so. Ever since then it has been 100% perfect and ignites every time.

I would think new models would be shipped with the upgraded board, but i guess it depends on how long they've been sitting around.

The customer service was great, my unit was out of warranty too and they sent the part no charge/no shipping.
