I bought one this summer along with an extra battery, seemed like a quality tool. A couple weeks into it, I started having issue where the tool would just quit. It seemed like it was one battery in particular, so I marked it to tell them apart. Yep, it was just with that battery, so I warrantied it. Both working good for awhile then it started all over. I slightly bent a spade terminal (inside the battery well) that touches a connection on the edge of the battery. Again, it worked for awhile then it started acting up. One battery was totally useless, so I marked that one.
I took that marked battery, took off the end cap to look at the printed circuits. I said "what the hell" and put the battery in the tool with out the end cap, it worked perfectly. So I made a shim from gasket material to go in between the cap & the battery pack. This pushes the battery in slightly more make a firm connection. It has worked for two days without any problems.
