This started about 3 weeks ago.... sometimes the opener will not open the door, either with remote, or hardwired button. Come back later, and it works fine.

Opener came new with the house, so is only 7yrs old.

Any ideas on a fix?

Any ideas on a fix?

when you push the button to open the door and it does not work, is there any flashing lights or beeps to indicate something is wrong? does the opener even try to open the door?

When it does not work, look at the door safety sensors at the bottom of the door to see if the LED on each one is lit up.(assumeing you have these sensors)

Perhaps one of them is loose and work sometimes.? or bad connection with wires to safety sensors.

the fact that it does not work with both remote and wired openers pretty much eliminates the openers being the problem i guessing.

find a manual online and go through the trouble shooting section?

cheers

When button is pushed, it does nothing, except the garage light on the opener, comes on.

Sensor are lit up, and look to be performing correctly.

I will have to dig up a manual, and see if it sheds some light.

Thanks!!

Well, if the manual doesn't shed any light on your situation, at least your opener is still good for at least that :willy_nil

Jerrod, disconnect your wall console and try shorting the wires. Long shot, but I have had to replace a few of them, plus it only takes a few minutes to check.

If not, good chance it's your Logic Board. Good luck!
