Professional Transmission Jacks/ Engine Hanger

Hi everyone I work for a Ford dealer in Jacksonville. We need a new ****** man and I have experience so they are sending me to school. I plan to buy a new ****** jack for myself. The shop jack is a Big Red unit that I have used allot. The Big Red jack is in my opinion the worst ****** jack I have ever used. when I got to the shop it had been there for years and was a nightmare. They bought a new one about 6 months ago and the ccasters have already turned to junk. I am considering buying a new one for myself. I am looking at the new Blue Point air/hydraulic. I have heard in the past the previous blue point jack wasn't very good. The new jack is an ATD7431 I was hoping someone out there has used one of these jacks and could tell me if its good for the long haul.
I am also considering an OTC model which I know for sure is an amazing jack but is very very expensive. If any experienced ****** men out there could recommend somthing I could use to pull 2 or 3 ******'s out a day with I would greatly appreciate it. I was also curious if anyone has the Blue Point engine hanger and if they had anything to say about it.

That Blue point is a rebadged ATD 7431. My shop bought me one (ATD7431) and I got about 6 years out of it before the top seal gave out. It did well with lots of hard use on transmissions, T-cases fuel tanks and rear end housings. Parts were not readily available for it so they got me another one and it isn't made as well as the first one but does ok. It's hard to get the shop to pull the trigger on a high end unit due to price. For engine support hangers I have a MAC tools one that works well and a Matco support bar with stands and outriggers that I made for specific work.

We have one of these and it is the best trans jack I have ever used, and I have used a lot. Unfortunately I dont think it is made anymore

I don't recall the model but I use a Napa trans jack at work. Had it for about 5 years now and it still works perfectly. I pull anything from a focus tranaxle to a diesel torqshift with tcase hanging off the end.

Im Fairly Certain that Both of those models are just Rebranded Hein Werner 93720's.

I thought GRAY designed and manufactured all of their own equipment without rights to use other Mfg's designs.

I dont think so... Id have to look up there Product line again but im sure some of there stuff is rebranded. I will double check and report back though...

EDIT.. Bob, Im not 100% sure, I went back and checked the Exploded View diagrams out looking for something that would indicate who the OEM was and cant find anything. Its very possible that Gray is the OEM versus HW. Its Hard for me to keep up with who is making what in Todays marketplace. I can say with Great Confidence that the Current HW Catalog and the Gray Catalog share alot of the Same Units. I will contact a few buddies Monday and see if can a straight answer, I also have a Close friend at the Kansas City SFA (HW) Plant. I also fairly certain that HW also the Previous Lincoln regime didnt manufacture end lifts etc..

That is what I say about all their equipment I use. And also alot of thought has gone into their products.
