Profiling brass strip - router ?

I need to make this profile:

with a width of 1/2" and a length of 48"

My theory is that I could temporarily glue the strip to the edge of a piece of wood, and shape it by running against appropriate carbide router bits, with a little hand finishing to smooth over the round.

Any better approaches/obvious flaws ?

I would be reluctant to try to route brass--I know aluminum is possible to profile w/ a router, but it is not fun to do. Makes a ton of noise, and the router will ocasionally dig in and send the router flying across the room.

How uniform does this need to be? An angle grinder with a flap disc could get you pretty close if you took your time...

It doesn't need to be perfect, it's the window moulding for an old travel trailer, I think I'm going to decide that discretion is the better part of valour and go at it with a grinder.

if you use the round over bit for a mill and slow the speed of the router down and take multiple passes you should be able to do it.

you could also use a mill.

you can also (depending on where it will be) make the part out of hardwood (maple or?) and then cover in thin sheet brass
